So, I haven't been able to read as much as I'd like, I've been struggling with motivation, and time, and stuff, so picking up this book and attempting to go through it might not have been the best idea. Series’ creator Stieg Larsson unexpectedly died from a heart attack in 2004, a year before the first novel in the Millennium trilogy was to be published. I got to page 125 and decided I would just skim the rest because life is too short to read crappy books, but then I found myself reading more than skimming so I will count this book as “read.” Stieg Larsson, the originator of these characters and author of the first three books, was no Shakespeare, but his writing was competent. It always felt like a watered down version Of Stieg Larsson, never felt like "A Lisbeth Salander" novel. Find all the books, read about the author, and more. He tried to stay true to the series' complex stories with different plotlines but did not attempt to imitate Larsson's "journalistic authoritativeness. Someone gave it one star and left a comment saying, "I will never read this book." When I watched the films I had no idea they were book adaptations. Blomkvist happens to be doing the same thing - and ( of course ) needs Lisbeth’s help. It was this investigation that resulted in his death. Meanwhile, a woman calling herself Rebecka Mattson attempts to seduce Blomkvist. I initially was going to give this 4 stars, but decided 3 more accurately represented my feelings.

It feels a bit like Stieg Larsson father and brother just want more cash and voilà let's find an author to write a fourth novel so we can bath in money. Extreme caution was taken to make sure details did not leak, and no early review copies were given out. [the ultimate villain is Camilla, Salander’s sister. David Lagercrantz comes very, very close to duplicating Stieg Larsson’s “Lisbeth Salandar” trilogy which thoughlly enjoyed. While it isn't based on any of the notes that the deceased author left behind, only the characters and the situations, I still love the characters.

People are really weird. Hype?  Knight wrote the screenplay with Alvarez and Jay Basu.
